Job Description

This is a contract with a great organization. The contract is eligible for PTO/holiday accrued monthly. You are also eligible for a 3% retirement matching plan. Smith Johnson believes in taking care of our contractors.

OVERVIEW: 

Our client is requiring one (1) contracted part-time developer to assist with database related tasks for the maintenance of Medicaid Web portals as well as to be a key database developer for the CMS Interoperability PDEX implementation, and work with the existing technical team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Gather and organize requirements
  2. Write well-designed, testable, and efficient code. Manage iterative user review, modify product to meet user requirements
  3. Collaborate with other developers for support, ideas, and code review
  4. Integrate diverse healthcare data sources, including data adhering to standards such as X12-278
  5. Facilitation of data exchange with external systems and applications through the database side of development and support for API integration
  6. Management of database deployment processes using Github for version control and release management of database packages
  7. Prepare scenarios and methods for QA testing

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Expertise in an Oracle 19C database environment including:
  • Database design and data structure
  • Data query and manipulation (SQL)
  • Oracle PL/SQL
  • Familiarity with X12-278 data and X12-FHIR resources crosswalk
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience in GitHub
  • A proactive approach to learning and a commitment to collative teamwork in a dynamic project environment
  • An understanding of Web-Based technologies is a bonus
  • Agile methodologies and tools
  • Working in an agile/scrum/SAFe environment
