Job Description

This is a contract with a great organization. As a contractor for Smith Johnson, you are eligible for medical, dental, life, disability. Smith Johnson pays for 70% of your medical and dental and 100% of life and disability. The contract is also eligible for PTO/holiday accrued monthly. You are also eligible for a 3% retirement matching plan. Smith Johnson believes in taking care of our contractors.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in setting up Network Infrastructure from the ground up at site location
  • Utilize expertise with LAN/WAN/WLAN as well as provide support monitoring network infrastructure, implementation, troubleshooting and remediation
  • Utilize network testing and debugging tools
  • Cisco Advanced/Zscaler
  • Automation/Scripting tools – Chef, Ansible, Python, Perl

 Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in Network Engineering
  • Experience in setting up Network Infrastructure in full project lifecycle
  • LAN/WAN/LWAN network infrastructure expertise
  • Ability to implement, monitor, troubleshoot and remediate network issues
  • Experience with Cisco Advanced/Zscaler
  • Experience with Automation/Scripting tool; Chef, Ansible, Python and Perl
  • Being able to work in-person onsite and will involve going underground/confined areas as required
