This is a contract with a great organization. As a contractor for Smith Johnson, you are eligible for medical, dental, life, disability. Smith Johnson pays for 70% of your medical and dental and 100% of life and disability. The contract is also eligible for PTO/holiday accrued monthly. You are also eligible for a 3% retirement matching plan. Smith Johnson believes in taking care of our contractors.
Job Description:
This position will assist and support more senior real estate managers in Special Projects Department on a global level, helping take care of some of the smaller details, allowing them to expand and fulfill their ever-expanding work load.
 Responsibilities:
- Gather and manage real estate transaction-related documents
- Prepare PowerPoint presentations for use by multiple approving bodies and committees
- Interact with attorneys, brokers, appraisers, engineers, and other real estate industry professionals (internal and external) to assist Real Estate Project Managers (REPM’s) and Director in moving projects through to completion
- Research internal property records for prior real estate transactions
- Manage calendars and ensure efficient communication for project meetings, deadlines, and events
- Track progress for ongoing and completed projects, by updating information in internal software programs and hard files
- Prepare and update project reports for Real Estate Project Managers (REPM’s) and Director; ensuring consistency and accuracy
- Coordinate with Church Travel Department for various domestic and international trips on behalf of REPM’s and Director
- Prepare and submit expense reports on behalf of Real Estate Project Managers (REPM’s) and Director
The Lead Worker will be responsible for overseeing and guiding a team of workers to ensure project tasks are completed efficiently, on time, and to the required quality standards. The Lead Worker will act as a key point of contact for team members, providing leadership, direction, and support throughout the project lifecycle. This role will involve both hands-on work and supervisory duties.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, real estate, engineering, construction project management, business administration, or accounting, or equivalent combination of education and related work experience
- Understanding and a working knowledge of real estate transactions
- Proficiency with databases and Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint
Preferred:
- Real estate agent or broker license or title or escrow license
