Our client is looking for a part-time Retail Pharmacist and a PRN Retail Pharmacist in the great St. George area. Job Description:
In this position as a part-time retail Pharmacist or PRN Pharmacist you will focus on delivering the ultimate customer experience driving customer satisfaction and ensuring their needs are well met. This role encompasses leadership through supervising the pharmacy staff, creating a team environment where collaboration, teamwork, efficiency and support are emphasized.

Responsibilities include:

  • Perform final Rx check, verify Rx was accurately filled with correct medication and quantity
  • Engage with patients in store and at drive-up
  • Provide patient counseling
  • Sign and date invoices
  • Keep other pharmacy personnel on task
  • Ensure efficient pharmacy work flow
  • Ensure all work processes are performed efficiently and effectively at each work station by prioritizing workload and organizing workflow
  • Verifies accuracy of pharmacy team by following established procedures
  • Effective communication with various levels of management to resolve issues
  • Monitor general safety procedures and standards, including department cleanliness
  • Ensures timely implementation of company policies, procedures, and programs
  • Enforces compliance with all local, state, and federal laws, company policies and procedure
  • Assist in pharmacy operations to achieve business objectives by increasing sales and gross margins, limiting expenses, directing operations to minimize wait times, monitoring department performance metrics
  • Provide ongoing proactive, constructive feedback, training, and evaluations to pharmacy personnel
  • Maintains accurate inventory levels, rotates stock, complies with recalls, and utilizes return process
  • Review’s prescriptions issued by prescriber to assure accuracy
  • Take new verbal prescriptions from prescribers in a professional and timely matter
  • Transfer prescriptions to and from pharmacy in a timely matter
  • Provides effective counseling to customers in regards to their medications
  • Regularly completes CMR’s and tips to help ensure patient adherence and effective medication therapy
  • Maintains established procedures concerning quality assurance, security of controlled substances, and disposal of hazardous waste drugs
  • Review’s prescriptions to insure appropriate therapy, and accuracy
  • Supervises staff, delegating specific duties and functions as necessary
  • Check all medications prepared prior to dispensing
  • Ensure controlled prescriptions are double counted and images are captured on the Eyecon
  • Review red baskets first, then green, then white
  • Maintain your state licensure and be proactive in doing continuing education
  • Pre-check Rx
  • Phones (patients, Dr., transfers)
  • Check voicemail
  • Administer vaccines/immunizations
  • Provide point of care testing (covid. strep, etc.)
  • Robbery Protocol

Qualifications:

  • Graduated from an accredited Pharmacy education program
  • State of Utah Pharmacist License
