Position Overview
Our Client is seeking a Warehouse Logistics Technician to support warehouse, inventory, and material-handling operations within a secure, mission-critical data center environment.
This position is responsible for receiving, storing, tracking, staging, and delivering equipment and materials needed to support daily data center operations. The ideal candidate has hands-on warehouse or logistics experience, is comfortable working with inventory systems and material-handling equipment, and takes pride in maintaining an organized and accurate warehouse.
This is a full-time, on-site position.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy, damage, and missing items
- Verify shipments against purchase orders and packing slips
- Unload, move, and stage deliveries using forklifts, pallet jacks, carts, and other material-handling equipment
- Store, organize, label, and track equipment, spare parts, supplies, and other materials
- Pick and stage materials for internal teams and outgoing shipments
- Maintain accurate inventory records using inventory, warehouse management, and ERP systems
- Perform cycle counts, inventory reconciliations, and adjustments as needed
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with restocking and reorder needs
- Coordinate with procurement, facilities, engineering, and other teams to ensure materials are available when needed
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized warehouse, staging, and loading dock areas
- Follow all safety, security, and material-handling procedures
- Assist with moving heavy or sensitive equipment, including racks, batteries, power equipment, and other data center components
- Participate in safety training, audits, and process improvement efforts
- Help identify opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency, organization, and workflow
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 1–2 years of warehouse, logistics, inventory, or supply chain experience
- Experience using forklifts and other material-handling equipment, or willingness to obtain required certifications
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel or similar spreadsheet software
- Experience using inventory, ERP, or warehouse management systems
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate inventory records
- Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver materials weighing 50+ pounds, as required
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage changing priorities
- Ability to follow strict safety and security procedures
Preferred Qualifications
The following experience is helpful but not required:
- Previous experience in a data center, telecommunications, technology, or other mission-critical environment
- Familiarity with IT infrastructure equipment such as servers, racks, network equipment, batteries, or power systems
- Experience with asset tagging, barcoding, RFID, or similar inventory-tracking technology
- Experience performing cycle counts and inventory reconciliation
- Familiarity with Lean, 5S, or other warehouse/process improvement practices
- Forklift, high-reach, or scissor-lift certification
- Knowledge of warehouse safety and regulatory requirements
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- 100% on-site position; remote work is not available
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and moving materials
- Work may involve warehouse, loading dock, and active data center environments
- May work around server racks, raised floors, equipment areas, and other data center infrastructure
- Must follow established security, access-control, and safety requirements
- Occasional overtime, weekend, or off-hours work may be required to support critical projects or equipment deployments
